The Swedish Masters of Poker (SweMOP) is a new kind of poker festival, one that blends real competition, a tight-knit community, and a healthy dose of Swedish mischief. Born from the legacy of the Swedish Poker Championships, SweMOP takes everything players loved about that iconic series and opens it up to the world.
Hosted at Banco Casino Bratislava, one of Europe’s most player-friendly poker rooms, the festival mixes a rock-solid tournament schedule with side events, mixed games, and off-the-felt fun designed to bring people together.
It’s poker with personality: serious at the tables, social everywhere else.
SweMOP started with a simple idea: live poker should feel like an adventure again. For years, Swedish players have travelled across Europe to play, hang out, and create memories both on and off the felt. The Swedish Poker Championships became famous not just for the titles, but for the stories: the late-night side games, the rail chants, the friendships that kept bringing people back. SweMOP is the next chapter of that story.
We’ve taken the best parts of that tradition: inclusiveness, humour, creativity and built a festival that welcomes players from every country, every background, and every skill level. If you love the game and you’re up for a week of competition, camaraderie, and a bit of controlled chaos… you’re in the right place.
You can´t hold the moose locked up.
At SweMOP, we believe poker is more than just cards and chips. It’s:
That’s why we created the Three Crowns concept, a festival-wide achievement ladder that tracks wins, knockouts, challenges, generosity, team spirit, and all the small moments that make a trip unforgettable. It’s gamification done the Swedish way: clever, rewarding, and just a little bit chaotic.
Our goal is simple: to build the most fun, welcoming, and memorable live poker festival in Europe, and to keep growing it year after year.
SweMOP is created and produced by two long-time profiles in European poker:
Jesper has spent more than a decade working at the heart of the Swedish poker scene, with deep experience in live event operations, scheduling, and player experience. He has been closely involved with the Swedish Poker Championships and other major live stops across Europe, always with a focus on making festivals feel both professional and personal.
Andreas brings a mix of live-poker know-how, brand building and community work. He has been part of projects such as Cash Game Festival, PokerFinnkampen, Drawmaha events and several community-driven series around Europe, helping bridge the gap between serious poker and social experiences.
Together, Jesper and Andreas share:
Around them is a wider crew of tournament staff, media, community managers and ambassadors who all share the same ambition: to create a festival people talk about long after the trophies are handed out
SweMOP is designed as a full festival, not “just another stop”:
On top of that, we work closely with media partners, communities, and content creators across Europe to make sure the festival is visible long before and long after the first card hits the felt.
If you’re ready to play hard, laugh louder and follow the Moose to Bratislava – welcome to SweMOP.
