When we first announced Swedish Masters of Poker, the world looked very different.
Back then, it was a global pandemic that forced us to press pause. Covid-19 brought live poker to a standstill, and like so many others, we had no choice but to wait until the tables could safely reopen.
Fast forward to today – and once again, circumstances beyond our control have made it clear that the timing simply isn’t right.
Poker is a game built on trust, structure, and long-term credibility. For an event like Swedish Masters of Poker, those values are non-negotiable. Over the past months, developments in the surrounding environment have made it impossible for us to deliver the experience, partnerships, and overall framework that this event deserves – and that players should expect.
Because of this, we have made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone Swedish Masters of Poker.
This is not a cancellation
It is a step back to ensure that when we move forward, we do so under the right conditions.
Our ambition remains unchanged: to create a Swedish Masters worthy of its name – transparent, professionally run, and built to last. Rushing forward now would compromise that vision, and that is something we are not willing to do.
We know postponements are frustrating. Believe us – no one is more disappointed than we are. But poker has always rewarded patience, discipline, and good timing. This decision follows the same principles.
We will return with updates as soon as we are ready to announce a new timeline.
Until then: thank you for your understanding, your patience, and your continued belief in the project.
